Noir-do-well, a play on ne'er-do-well, is an independent publication launched to publish Americana Noir stories full of thrill, grit, and the unyielding brutality of consequences in a unique format to meet our readers where they are.

For the Prose Purist

We also understand that there are readers who prefer the long format of traditional publishing. That is why this site exists. Here we will post the serialized versions as well as publish the full long-form prose version of the story to our paid subscribers. The long-form version is typically released after the release of the second episode of the serial.
